One dead, one seriously injured in apparent domestic violence incident

Elizabethton Police Department officers performing a welfare check at an apartment at 105 Mountain View Drive off Milligan Highway on Wednesday morning discovered one male deceased and another male seriously injured.
Officers were called to check on Apartment 17 around 4:19 a.m. on Wednesday because a 911 caller had requested an ambulance but wouldn’t provide any further information.
When EPD officers arrived there was evidence that someone was injured in the apartment and upon entering found the crime scene.
According to the report, the injured male was transported to a medical facility with apparent serious injuries.
The investigation is continuing as the information gathered so far is in the initial stages of the investigation. The deceased male and the seriously injured male were the only two persons involved in what appears to be the result of domestic violence.
The report said there is no danger to the public as a result of the altercation.
