Keep Carter County Beautiful is asking for volunteers to help Trashercize the Tweetsie Trail as part of the 2022 Great American Cleanup for Earth Day.

The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 23. Volunteers will meet at Lion’s Field parking lot off Elk Avenue and West G Street at the recycle center.

Participants will be provided with safety vests, trash bags, and grabbers. Also, participants will need to provide their own gloves and water.

In the event a volunteer doesn’t have gloves, they will be available. CDC guidelines will be followed for the trash pickup.
