Three Happy Valley students qualify for state competition in Speech & Debate

Three students from Happy Valley High School’s Speech & Debate team qualified for the state tournament to be held in Blountville on April 22 and April 23.
The students qualified at the District 5 Tournament at Morristown West High School on Saturday.
Those students who qualified for state competition are:
– Silas Jones in Extemporaneous Speaking.
– Nick Bradley in Extemporaneous Speaking.
– Andrea Hensley in Original Oratory.
Also placing at the district tournament were:
– Alyssa Hensley in Humorous Interpretation.
– Adrianna Harageones in Original Oratory.
– Elisha Jones in After Dinner Speaking.
Coach Matt Wilson was named District 5 Educator of the Year at the competition as well.
