Elizabethton police searching for suspect in assault, shoplifting incident

The Elizabethton Police Department is asking the public for assistance in locating a suspect wanted in a shoplifting and aggravated assault incident at Harbor Freight.
The incident occurred on May 2 at 10:05 a.m. The suspect is described as a white male who was seen wearing a black hoodie, shorts, and a hat.
If anyone has any information on this suspect, they are asked to contact EPD investigator David Peters at 423-547-6225 or dial 911.
