A joint investigation by the Tennessee Department of Children’s Services and the Washington County Criminal Investigations Division has led to additional charges for a Jonesborough man.
Timothy L. Woodfin, 58 of Dry Creek Road, was arrested earlier this year after an incident according to Washington County Sheriff Keith Sexton. As a result of that arrest, Woodfin was charged with two counts of aggravated assault and two counts of reckless endangerment.
Woodfin was released the following day.
Prior to that incident, the Department of Children’s Services had removed two children from Woodfin’s home due to suspicion of drug exposure.
After testing, the children showed positive results of exposure to methamphetamine.
Woodfin was administered a drug screen and failed for methamphetamine. Investigators obtained a warrant for Woodfin’s arrest on April 12 charging him with Child Endangerment.
He was arrested in a Washington County Courtroom on Tuesday where he was making an appearance on the earlier charges. Woodfin is currently being held at the Washington County Detention Center on a $10,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court at 9 a.m. on May 19.
