The Elizabethton Parks and Recreation Department is gearing up for a special Bluegrass event on Saturday at Covered Bridge Park.

“As a part of Covered Bridge Jams again this year, we will host a special Bluegrass event on June 11 called “Covered Bridge Bluegrass Jamboree,” said Recreation Manager David Nanney.

The night will feature Bluegrass superstars Russell Moore & III Tyme Out. This remarkable group has made many appearances on the Grand Ole Opry and won many IMBA Awards, including 7 IMBA Vocal Group of the Year Awards and 6 Male Vocalist of the Year Awards and
numerous other accolades.

This group has solidified its place as one of the hottest groups in Bluegrass for over thirty years. The Trinity Valley Travelers will also be with performing as well.

“The Trinity Valley Travelers are a wonderful local bluegrass band and are always a crowd-pleaser as well,” said Nanney. “We are extremely excited about this year’s Bluegrass Jamboree and hope that everyone in the community and those in our surrounding areas will come out and enjoy some awesome music in a beautiful setting.”
