On Saturday, July 2, thousands of spectators flooded Covered Bridge Park to celebrate Independence Day. The celebration kicked off around 3:45 p.m with a patriotic bike parade. Pageants, dancing and ceremonies would soon follow. Then, Spank! The ’80s would take the Covered Bridge Park Stage at 7:30 p.m. for a concert.
The night’s grand finale was a fireworks display sponsored by Tour Carter County and the Elizabethton/Carter County Chamber of Commerce.
