Calling all actors…
…and backstage, costuming, lighting and technical crew.
The newly-formed Bonnie Kate Community Theater will be holding auditions for its very first production — the classic macabre comedy, Arsenic And Old Lace, by Joseph Kesselring — August 8 and 9.
Those interested may audition either on August 8 or 9 at 6:30 each evening at the Bonnie Kate Theater located at 115 South Sycamore St., Elizabethton.
Those auditioning will be told a little more about the show and then asked to do a cold reading from the script and fill out an
audition form.
There will be many opportunities for involvement in the play and the theater. Needed are actors — teens and adults, 10 men and 4 women — as well as stage managers, costume designers, backstage and lighting crew.
The play will be performed on October 14-16 and 21-23. Rehearsals will be three times per week with more as the performance date draws closer.
The group is also reaching out to the community to anyone who has an interest in being involved. There will be an informational meeting on Tuesday, Aug. 2, at 5:30 p.m. at the Bonnie Kate for those who want to learn more.
