Cyclones lose nonconference match in three sets

Elizabethton Lady Cyclones lose to Westridge in nonconference play.
The Lady Cyclones volleyball team traveled to Sullivan County on Tuesday night to take on Westridge losing in three sets to 20-25, 17-25 and 11-25.
The Cyclones offense was led by Ainsley Wampler and Gracie Kirsch with six kills each followed by Krisalyn Elliott with five and Zoe Proffitt and Karie Merritt with four. Bailee Vanhuss led the Cyclone defense with 13 digs followed by Jayci Bowers, Gracie Kirsch and Zyleigh Bates with nine each. The loss drops Elizabethton’s record for the season to 6-7-0 overall and 2-3-0 in conference play. The Cyclones are currently in fourth place in the Three Rivers Conference.
The Lady Cyclones will host Tennessee High Vikings on Thursday, September 8 in a conference battle at Elizabethton High School.
