Cyclones lose to conference-leading Vikings at home

Three Rivers Conference leading Tennessee High visited John L. Treadway Gym and came away with a win on Thursday.
The Elizabethton Lady Cyclones hosted Tennessee High, losing in three sets 8-25,15-25 and 16-25.
The Cyclones were led by Gracie Kirsch with seven kills and eight digs followed by Karie Merritt with five kills and Zoe Proffitt with three kills.
Assisting Kirsch on the defensive end was Jayci Bowers with seven digs; Zyleigh Bates with six digs; and Marley Lewis with five digs.
Tennessee High remains unbeaten in conference play at 6-0 and 12-2 overall record. With the loss, Elizabethton drops to 2-4 in conference play, 6-8 overall and remains in fourth place in the Three Rivers Conference. The Lady Cyclones will travel to Greene County on Monday, Sept. 12, to take on the Greeneville Greene Devils and host third-place conference foe Sullivan East on Tuesday, Sept. 13.
