Registration and sponsorship is underway for the 18th annual golf tournament sponsored by friends of the East Tennessee Christian Home & Academy.
The tournament, which will be held at 1 p.m. Oct. 2 at the Elizabethton Golf Course, raises funds to help with operations and expenses of the home.
“This is one of the largest tournaments in the area, and each year we try to make it better and better,” said Ron Marvel, director of development services for the ETCHA.
The home provides residential and education programs to adolescent girls who can benefit from an enhancement of their life experience.
“The previous golf tournaments have gone a long way in helping to offset the differences between donations and expenses,” Marvel said. “We look forward to a continuing successful event in 2022.”
The tournament features a 2-person, select shot format. Hole sponsorship is $325 and includes the entry of one 2-person team. Other players will pay $70 per person in registration.
Sponsorship and registration is open through Sept. 29. Anyone wanting more information or forms may contact Melissa Marvel at 423-542-4423.
“We continue to be blessed by God in His provisions for this ministry and rejoice in seeing positive changes in the lives of the girls we serve,” Ron Marvel said, adding that programs like the golf tournament have been well supported. “The generosity expressed by our community is incredible.”
