Suspect arrested in downtown Johnson City shooting

A Johnson City man has been arrested in connection with the early Sunday shooting in downtown Johnson City.
Police arrested Zachary Stratton on Thursday and charged him with five counts of aggravated assault and seven counts of reckless endangerment. He was booked into the Washington County Detention Center where he was being held on a $320,000 bond.
He was scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court on Friday.
The incident took place about 3 a.m. Sunday, when police were called to 150 W. State of Franklin Road on the Downtown Square in response to a report of shots fired in the area. Officials found two victims with non-life-threatening injuries. Both victims were transported to local hospitals for treatment.
The shooter was identified as a white male who was in the back seat of a maroon, four-door sedan which fled the scene immediately after the shooting.
