Johnson City Police Department is investigating a stabbing incident that occurred on Jan. 22. At approximately 9:45 p.m., officers of the Johnson City Police Department responded to 409 S. Broadway St., in reference to a stabbing. According to the report, a male subject was stabbed one time and was taken to an area hospital for treatment of his injuries. A person of interest was identified and interviewed by investigators. During the investigation, it was discovered that there was an altercation between the victim and suspect and the victim was stabbed during the incident. The identity of the persons involved are not going to be released at this time. At this time no charges have been placed and the investigation is ongoing. The case will be turned over to the District Attorney’s Office once it is complete.
