Keep Carter County Beautiful, in partnership with Keep America Beautiful, is asking for volunteers to help Trashercize the Tweetsie Trail as part of the 2023 Great American Cleanup for Earth Day.
The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 15. Volunteers will meet at Lions Field parking lot off Elk Avenue and West G Street. Participants will be provided with safety vests, gloves, trash bags, and grabbers. Also, participants will need to provide their own water.
Flower seed packets, created by Elizabethton High School students, will be given out for planting in your yard. You are asked to plant some flowers when you get home and help our stressed bee population while beautifying Carter County.
