Hampton tops Happy Valley on Senior Night

The Bulldogs Chance Point #12 slides into second base with his 100th stolen base of his career in the bottom of the first inning Monday night against the Warriors of Happy Valley. In his career, the junior has also surpassed 100 hits (113) and runs scored (117) in addition to the stolen base mark.

Prior to the start of Monday night’s Hampton-Happy Valley game, the Bulldogs retired two jerseys to honor to great Bulldogs players of the past. The No. 14 jersey worn by Wyatt Lyons and the No. 49 worn by Jason Davenport is the first numbers ever retired by the Bulldogs.

Happy Valley Warriors traveled to Scotty Bunton Field on Monday night to take on county foe Hampton Bulldogs on Senior Night. The Warriors would jump out to a 3-0 lead but the Bulldogs would even the score after five. Jaden Kuhn would hit a single in the bottom of the sixth to score Chance Point and Josh Whitson to give Hampton a 5-3 lead to take the win. Brody Hicks would go 3-for-3 to lead Hampton and Drew Blevins would lead Happy Valley with a 2-for-2 effort.
