In observance of Labor Day, the City of Elizabethton announces the closure of city offices on September 4.
Residents are advised that the garbage collection schedule for the week of September 4 through September 8 will undergo temporary adjustments. Bins typically emptied on Monday through Thursday will experience a one-day delay, with Thursday and Friday collections consolidated into Friday.
Normal city office operations will resume following the holiday closure.
