Get ready to embrace the enchanting spirit of the holiday season as Main Street Elizabethton announces the eagerly awaited annual Elizabethton Christmas Parade, set to illuminate Downtown Elizabethton on Saturday, December 9, starting at 6 p.m.

This year, the parade promises to dazzle with the theme “Season of Lights.” Adding to the festive magic, Main Street has selected The City of Elizabethton Parks and Recreation Department as the Grand Marshal. Courtney Bean, Main Street Director, shares her enthusiasm: “The holidays bring a touch of magic to downtown. From the twinkle of lights to the warmth of holiday cheer, Christmas is a special time for Elizabethton. We are thrilled to honor the Parks and Recreation Department for the light they bring to our community through family-friendly events and accessible outdoor spaces.”

Participants are encouraged to let their creativity shine as they decorate floats that embody the theme’s essence: the joy of lights. The more twinkling lights and light-up accessories, the merrier.
