On Saturday, Sept. 23, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., the heart of Elk Avenue’s third block will come alive with festivities as Elizabethton Federal Savings Bank sponsors the 3rd Annual Main Street Block Party, an integral part of Covered Bridge Days.

The Main Street Block Party offers a vibrant mix of entertainment, with a beer garden, live performances, downtown vendors, and lawn games. The event has grown over the years, thanks to the generous sponsorship from Elizabethton Federal Savings Bank.

Elizabethton Federal Savings Bank President and CEO Teri Reach reiterated their commitment to this community event, stating, “Elizabethton Federal Savings Bank is proud to sponsor the Main Street Block Party for the third year. Downtown Elizabethton is a great location for this annual event. The Main Street Block Party brings locals and non-locals together for music, food, and fun. We believe that this is going to be the best one yet!”

The entertainment lineup for the evening includes local talent Nathan Hardin, accompanied by Dan Britt and band members, followed by JP Mathes & Fiddling Leona. Both acts promise to deliver an unforgettable musical experience.

In addition to the live music, attendees can explore offerings from 13 downtown retailers and enjoy dining options. A beer garden by Riverside Taphouse, family-friendly yard games courtesy of the Elizabethton/Carter County Public Library (Adult Services), and more will make this event a highlight of Covered Bridge Days.

For those aged 21 and over, Riverside Taphouse will serve beverages in two locations within the Block Party boundaries. Wristbands for the beer garden will be available for $3 through Main Street Elizabethton. Alcoholic beverages must remain within the Block Party boundaries.

Main Street Director Courtney Bean encouraged the community to embrace the Main Street Block Party as an additional attraction during Covered Bridge Days, showcasing downtown businesses and offering a fantastic time for all.
