Elizabethton Police seek assistance identifying residential prowler

The Elizabethton Police Department is seeking assistance from the public in identifying an individual captured in a surveillance camera. This person was observed prowling around a residence on Allen Avenue in Elizabethton, on two separate occasions, with the most recent incident occurring on September 9, around 11:30 p.m. During this incident, the individual was seen attempting to manipulate the doorknob at the rear of the residence.
Authorities urge residents to take precautions by securing their homes and vehicles and removing valuable items from vehicles to deter theft.
