Elizabethton Police Department seeks public help in attempted robbery at Walmart

The Elizabethton Police Department is soliciting the assistance of the public in identifying a suspect involved in an attempted robbery at the local Walmart store this afternoon.

The incident occurred when the unidentified subject approached a Walmart employee and handed them a note, demanding the employee to open the cash register and place money into a Walmart bag. Despite the threat, the employee did not comply with the request, and no weapons were displayed during the interaction.

Subsequently, the subject seized the note and promptly exited the store.
