It was the Rider Witten show in the first half of the JPW playoff game Saturday in Elizabethton.
Elizabethton High School and Tennessee High School hosted the first round of tournaments for the Watauga Junior Athletic League this past Saturday. Star photographer Brandon Hyde was on-site at Elizabethton High School, capturing the excitement of Elizabethton versus Greenville GC and Elizabethton versus Kingsport JPW matchups for Star readers.
Results at Elizabethton included Elizabethton MM defeating Kingsport MM 33-0, Elizabethton Black GC securing a victory against Greeneville GC with a score of 33-0, and Elizabethton Orange JPW taking on Kingsport Grey JPW in a tight contest ending 12-0.
In Bristol, the action was fierce, with Boone MM prevailing over Happy Valley MM, Happy Valley Black GC clinching a win against Hampton GC, and Greeneville JPW besting Cloudland JPW.
The upcoming Super Bowl, set to take place at Greeneville High School on Saturday, promises more thrilling matchups:
