Elizabethton Police make multiple arrests

The following arrests have been reported by the Elizabethton Police Department:

  • Domestic Dispute Leads to Arrest 

A domestic disturbance call on October 15, 2023, resulted in the arrest of Karen Renee Vandyke. Responding to Hickory Street, Officer Chazz Hughes found a heated dispute involving Ms. Vandyke, and two other individuals. Vandyke had left the scene, but a traffic stop by Captain Croy revealed an active warrant out of Carter County for her. Sergeant Bullock transported Vandyke to Carter County Detention Center.

  • Driver Arrested for Warrants and Drugs

On October 17, 2023, at 3:13 am, Corporal Kurt Kemp discovered Kerry Lynn Anderson II asleep behind the wheel at Zoomerz (821 West Elk Ave). After finding two warrants from Carter County Juvenile Court and suspected methamphetamines in Anderson’s possession, Kemp arrested him.

  • Warrant Leads to Arrest

On October 18, 2023, at 9:02 pm, Officer Ryan Manuel arrested Cody Shane Presnell for a Violation of Probation warrant at 625 East Elk Avenue. Presnell was transported to CCSO without incident.

  • Arrest After Welfare Check

A welfare check on October 18, 2023, at 6:00 pm, led to the arrest of Cody Sheldon Carver. While asleep in his vehicle at Walgreens (214 Broad Street), Carver was found in possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia. The vehicle’s VIN had been tampered with. Carver was transported to Carter County Detention Center.
