Village Antiques & Home Decor Mall, in collaboration with the Friends of the Elizabethton-Carter County Animal Shelter, is all set to host Wooftoberfest this Saturday, Oct. 28, at their location on 102 Hudson Drive in Elizabethton. The festivities are scheduled to run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Wooftoberfest promises a delightful day for pets and their human companions, featuring a lineup of engaging activities. Local food trucks will be onsite, ensuring that both four-legged and two-legged attendees have delicious treats to savor. Furthermore, doggie treat bags will be distributed, and visitors can meet and interact with some of the shelter’s adorable pets in need of forever homes.
To add to the fun, various vendors will offer their wares, providing attendees with an opportunity to enjoy special discounts and unique finds.
A highlight of the day is the “Pet and Their Human” Costume Contest, set to commence at 4:30 p.m. Prizes will be awarded to the top three winners, adding an extra layer of excitement to this already charming event.
Danny Deal, Fundraising Director for the Friends of the Elizabethton-Carter County Animal Shelter, expresses their mission for the day: “Please come out and support our fundraiser. Funds raised will support a low-cost spay and neuter clinic that is to be built beside the shelter.”
