FROM STAFF REPORTS
The Elizabethton Police Department (EPD) is set to participate in the DEA’s National Drug Take Back event this Saturday, providing the community with a convenient and safe opportunity to dispose of their unused or expired medications. The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the police department located at 511 East F St. The EPD encourages residents to bring their medications to the event for proper disposal.
For those unable to attend the event, the police department offers an alternative option for medication disposal. A designated container is available in the lobby of the police department, accessible on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
For more information or inquiries about the event, individuals are welcome to contact Sgt. Willard Johnson at 423-547-6417 or via email at wjohnson@elizabethtonpolice.org. The EPD’s participation in this initiative aims to promote the safe and responsible disposal of medications to prevent misuse and protect the environment.
