A friendly reminder to all residents and businesses in the community: Downtown Trick-or-Treating is set to take place today, but with adjusted times. The event will kick off at 3:30 PM and conclude at 5:00 PM. If your business has community organizations stationed outside, please share this schedule with them, as it aligns with the road closure plan.

Road closures will be in effect from 3 PM to 5 PM in specific areas:

• East F Street from Lynn Avenue to Doe Avenue
• E Elk Ave from Elm Avenue to Riverside Drive
• Doe Ave from E Elk Avenue to S Cedar Ave

These closures are essential to ensure the safety of all participants during the event. Roads will gradually reopen at 5 PM.

Following the downtown festivity, the community is encouraged to join the Carter County Sheriff’s Office’s Trunk-or-Treat event from 5 PM to 7 PM. This offers a fantastic opportunity to extend the Halloween celebrations, providing additional family-friendly fun after the Elk Avenue trick-or-treating comes to a close.
