Single-vehicle crash on Interstate 26 prompts police response

JOHNSON CITY – On Tuesday, Nov. 14, at 11:51 a.m., officers from the Johnson City Police Department swiftly responded to a distress call concerning a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 26 near mile marker 21.
Upon reaching the scene, law enforcement found a Nissan Xterra that had been traveling eastbound. The vehicle veered off the road, journeyed onto the left shoulder, and collided with the guardrail. The impact caused the Xterra to overturn before eventually coming to rest.
Emergency responders acted promptly, and the driver was subsequently transported to Johnson City Medical Center to receive treatment for serious injuries sustained in the crash.
