Thrilling start: Carter County Youth Basketball League kicks off season

The Carter County Youth Basketball League launched its season with an energetic start, hosting a robust schedule of 24 games that involved 48 participating teams on Saturday. Across venues including Unaka, Little Milligan, and Valley Forge, budding athletes displayed their prowess on the court.

Star Photographer Tyler Scalf chronicled the riveting action at Valley Forge Elementary School, capturing compelling moments destined to captivate Star readers. The CCYBL has teams representing Central, Hunter, Unaka, Valley Forge, Hampton, Little Milligan, Elizabethton, and Cloudland.
