SWVAA Finest Angus Sale set for Saturday at Washington County Fairgrounds in Virginia

The Southwest Virginia Angus Association is set to host the “SWVAA Finest Angus Sale” on December 2 starting at noon at the Washington County Fairgrounds in Abingdon, Va. This sale features 27 consignors hailing from Southwest Virginia and East Tennessee, showcasing 50 lots of registered Angus females. The lots comprise bred heifers, open heifers, bred cows, spring calving pairs, and fall calving pairs.
Following the female sale, the SWVAA Performance Tested Fall Bull Sale will take place. A selection of 59 exceptional bulls will be offered, displaying impressive statistics: an average 205-day adjusted weight of 679 lbs., gain on test at 4.24 lbs., 365-day adjusted weight of 1,163 lbs., frame-5.9, scrotal- 37.6 cm., ribeye-13.6, %1MF-4.36, $W+76, $8 +168, and $C+260. These bulls were collectively raised and fed at G&E Farm in Gretna, Va. After being weighed off test on November 3, they underwent evaluation by a VDACS state grader.
The offering includes numerous calving ease bulls, all qualifying under the Virginia Quality Assurance program.
