Johnson City man arrested for fraud following bank investigation

JOHNSON CITY – Paul B. Pate, 36, was arrested by officers of the Johnson City Police Department on Dec. 11 on charges of fraud following an investigation at Eastman Credit Union, located at 4309 N. Roan St.
Officers initiated the investigation around 10 a.m., uncovering that Pate had deposited fraudulent checks and subsequently made withdrawals amounting to $9,500.
A warrant was issued for Pate’s arrest, leading officers to apprehend him at his residence. He is currently detained at the Washington County Detention Center on a $2,500 bond pending an arraignment scheduled for Dec. 12 at 1:30 p.m. in Washington County General Sessions Court.
