Multiple arrests reported by Carter County Sheriff’s Office

The following arrests have been reported by the Carter County Sheriff’s Office:
On December 10, Deputy Zachary Whaley collaborated with the Johnson City Police Department at Sinking Creek Baptist Church and apprehended Derek Charles Causby on a violation of probation warrant from Carter County General Sessions Court. Causby was taken to the Carter County Detention Center without incident.
On December 10, Deputy Christian Carrier arrested Karen Ashley Berry for a violation of probation warrant. Berry was transported to the Carter County Detention Center without further trouble.
On December 9, responding to a reported domestic disturbance on Ranger Drive, Sgt. Michael Malone and Lt. Eric Norman found no such disturbance. However, Tracy Michelle Lethcoe was discovered with an active arrest warrant for failure to appear. Lethcoe was arrested and transported to the Carter County Detention Center.
On December 9, Sgt. Justin Johnson pulled over a vehicle due to a glaring auxiliary light violating TCA 55-9-407. Upon investigation, Kaylyn L. Scalf, the passenger, was found with marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and methamphetamine. Scalf was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
On December 7, Deputy Thomas Hill attempted to arrest Jacob Arvil Church on an active violation of probation warrant. Church attempted to flee but was subdued by law enforcement. Church is charged with evading arrest.
On December 6, Daniel Neil Shaw was found in violation of an order of protection and was arrested by Deputy Thomas Hill. Shaw threatened to harm another individual, resulting in charges for violation of an order of protection or restraining order.
On December 6, Lt. Christopher Reichenbach executed a warrant service at Sinking Creek Baptist Church, taking Brittany M. Goan into custody for an active failure to appear warrant.
On December 5, Capt. Daniel Kneaskern and officers responded to Morey Hyder Road, apprehending Steven Walker for an outstanding warrant for failure to appear.
On December 5, Lt. Christopher Reichenbach and deputies arrested James Dylan Rouse, who was hiding under a kitchen sink, on an active failure to appear warrant.
On December 5, deputies arrested Dallas Burns Campbell, who had a failure to appear warrant, in Harrisonburg, Va., and transported him to the Carter County Detention Center.
On December 4, Deputy Tyler Holsclaw arrested Matthew Richard Whitson for driving on a suspended license, financial responsibility violation, and possession of stolen property involving a reported stolen license plate.
On December 4, Deputy Jared Shelton detained Robert Cody Bullwinkel, who attempted to take a patrol vehicle, for resisting stop/arrest and auto theft charges after creating a disturbance at the sheriff’s office.
Note: All arrestees are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
