Johnson City Police Department investigators apprehended Jason Thompson, 43, of Elizabethton on Dec. 23, charging him with three counts of attempted second-degree murder alongside violating an order of protection.
The arrest follows an alarming incident on Dec. 22, where Thompson fired multiple shots at a residence on Swadley Road while three individuals were present. Although one of the occupants held an active order of protection against Thompson, they were not at home during the shooting. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
Thompson was remanded to the Washington County Detention Center, where he remains held without bond. A bond hearing is set for Dec. 26.
