In response to a severe weather advisory, Carter County Schools will be closed on Tuesday, January 9. The decision follows the Hazardous Weather Outlook issued by the National Weather Service in Morristown, Tennessee, on Monday, January 8, 2024. The outlook encompasses regions across southwest North Carolina, East Tennessee, and southwest Virginia.
