In response to a wind advisory, Carter County Schools will be closed on Friday, Jan. 12. The decision follows the Hazardous Weather Outlook issued by the National Weather Service in Morristown on Thursday, Jan. 11, effective from 7 a.m. Friday to 7 a.m. Saturday. The outlook encompasses regions across East Tennessee and southwest Virginia.
