JOHNSON CITY – Johnson City Police Department officers arrested William Burris, 42, of Johnson City, on Jan. 11, charging him with one count of aggravated sexual battery.
The arrest follows an investigation into an October 2023 incident at a Johnson City convenience store. Video surveillance from the store revealed Burris approaching the victim’s car and subsequently chasing the victim from the vehicle to the front of the store. The assault occurred in front of the store.
Burris has been transported to the Washington County Detention Center. The investigation is ongoing.
