The K-Kids Club at Harold McCormick Elementary School has demonstrated remarkable community spirit by collecting a total of 2,016 food items. The generous donation is destined for Hale Community Ministries, an organization dedicated to providing food bags for distribution to low-income families within the community. Hale Community Ministries operates under the umbrella of the Watauga Baptist Association.
Affiliated with the Kiwanis Club of Elizabethton, K-Kids serves as the elementary branch of Kiwanis International. The initiative showcases the commitment of young members to making a positive impact, aligning with the broader mission of Kiwanis organizations in fostering community welfare. The K-Kids Club’s substantial food contribution is set to benefit those in need, reinforcing the spirit of compassion and community service.
