Northeast State will be the venue for the SkillsUSA Regional Conference, welcoming career and technical education (CTE) students from various area high schools in Northeast Tennessee. The conference, featuring competitions in skilled trades and technical sciences, will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 9, at Northeast State in Blountville, located at 2425 Highway 75.
SkillsUSA is a Career and Technical Student Organization dedicated to skilled trade and technical sciences students. This regional event serves as a qualifier for specific competitions that advance students to the annual State Leadership and Skills Conference (SLSC) hosted by SkillsUSA Tennessee.
Approximately 20 CTE categories will be included in the competitions, with many Northeast State faculty members from the Technologies, High School Programs, and Humanities divisions serving as chairs and judges.
