In a heartfelt pre-game ceremony, the Unaka Rangers retired the number 10 jersey of Lyndie Ramsey, capping off a remarkable high school basketball career during which she amassed an impressive 2,902 points. The event took place amidst an atmosphere of nostalgia and celebration at the team’s home court.
Reflecting on her illustrious tenure with the Rangers, Ramsey fondly recalled her standout moment: “Probably when I scored my 2,000th point as a senior.” For Ramsey, the occasion was not only a personal milestone but also a testament to the unwavering support of her family and the camaraderie shared with her teammates and coaches.
Expressing her gratitude, Ramsey emphasized the significance of her family’s presence: “This is very special to me being here with my family – we are very family-oriented.” Her sentiment underscored the profound influence of familial support throughout her athletic journey.
