Goodwill and Carter County Schools FRC forge partnership to support students and families

The Carter County Schools Family Resource Center (FRC) and Goodwill Industries of Tenneva Area, Inc. (GITA) have announced a partnership aimed at supporting students and families within the Carter County School System.
The collaboration underscores the commitment of both organizations to serve the community by addressing the crucial need for accessible basic clothing options for students. Through this joint effort, Carter County Schools FRC will expand its reach to assist more individuals and families in need.
Jenny Jones, Coordinator of Carter County Schools FRC, emphasized the importance of addressing students’ basic needs to maximize their academic potential. “This exciting partnership with Goodwill will help us meet those needs, further unlocking the potential of students, families, and schools,” Jones said.
Matt DeLozier, Vice President of People Operations at Goodwill, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, highlighting its potential to provide essential resources to students and families. “Together, we will be able to make a greater impact in providing basic needs to students and families. This collaboration exemplifies our shared commitment to providing resources for students to thrive,” DeLozier added.

Goodwill Industries of Tenneva operates 10 retail locations throughout a 17-county service area, from Southwest Virginia to East Tennessee.
