Elizabethton Police Department reports recent arrests

The following arrests have been reported by the Elizabethton Police Department:

    • On February 26, Amanda Sue Oaks was apprehended inside Walgreen’s following a 911 call reporting her presence and an active warrant for violation of probation. Oaks was taken into custody and transported to the Carter County Detention Center by Deputy Whaley of the Carter County Sheriff’s Office. Additionally, Oaks was formally trespassed from the store.
    • On February 26, Officer Justin Pearce observed Terry Jean Savage sleeping in a red Subaru parked in Riverside Park after hours. Savage was found to have an active warrant for violation of probation and was arrested. During the arrest, drug paraphernalia and substances believed to be methamphetamine and marijuana were discovered in Savage’s possession. Charges included possession of methamphetamine for resale, drug paraphernalia, simple possession of Schedule VI, and trespass by motor vehicle.
    • On February 25, Officer Erin Potter responded to a collision between a motorcycle and an SUV. Joseph Lee Ralston, the motorcycle driver, was found to be driving without a valid motorcycle license and insurance. Ralston was issued a criminal summons for no/unlicensed and financial responsibility violations.
    • On February 25, Jordan Alexandra Hill was apprehended for shoplifting at Walmart. She was issued a criminal summons and a trespass order by Walmart.
    • On February 24, Gavin I. Shelton was arrested for driving with a suspended license and failure to comply with financial responsibility laws. Shelton was issued summonses and given a court date.
    • On February 24, Rebecca Dawn Greene was given a criminal summons for driving on a canceled license following a motor vehicle crash.
    • On February 24, Joshua Waylon Greene was arrested for public intoxication after being found asleep in a parked vehicle at Riverside Park. Greene admitted to consuming alcohol and failed field sobriety tests.
    • On February 23, Tyler Scott Tipton was arrested for criminal trespassing after being found at the playground near a building. Tipton had an active warrant for trespassing issued by CCSO.

Note: All arrestees are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
