The Elizabethton/Carter County Chamber of Commerce, in collaboration with Main Street Elizabethton, is set to host a joint ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday, March 15, at 2 p.m. to commemorate the grand opening of The Wicked Whit in downtown Elizabethton.

Whitney Johnson, the proprietor of The Wicked Whit, expressed her elation at realizing her long-held aspiration of establishing her own downtown business. Johnson remarked, “Opening my own downtown business has been my dream for quite some time, seeing it come to life is so surreal. My goal is to offer beautiful/helpful products along with creating friendships and spreading positivity to everyone that enters the door. The crystals have price tags, but the kindness is ALWAYS free.”

Joy McCray, Executive Director of the Elizabethton/Carter County Chamber of Commerce, extended a warm welcome to The Wicked Whit, highlighting the store’s unique offerings of gemstones, crystals, gifts, and more. McCray stated, “We are excited to welcome The Wicked Whit to our community. She has a very unique store filled with gemstones, crystals, gifts, and more. It’s always exciting for us to see growth in our community with new and unique small businesses.”
