Carter County Sheriff’s Office reports recent arrests

The following arrests have been reported by the Carter County Sheriff’s Office:

On March 14, Deputy Hunter Skalecki responded to a domestic disturbance at a residence on Carl Smith Road. Leviticus Judges Gannon was involved in a dispute. Gannon was detained and charged with domestic assault and vandalism for damaging property valued at $800.
On March 14, Sgt. Tyler Holsclaw arrested Thomas Alan Farmer at 901 W. Walnut St. (BP) for second-degree murder (drugs) and sale of Schedule II drugs, based on an active warrant from Carter County Criminal Court.
On March 13, Deputy Donovan Bemiller recovered a stolen vehicle at a residence on U.S. 19E Roan Mountain and arrested Sidney C. Byers for possession of stolen property.
On March 13, Deputy Jeff Winters arrested Cody R.M. Honeycutt at Southwest Virginia Regional Jail for violating probation, transporting him to Carter County Tennessee Detention Center.
On March 13, Deputy Jeff Winters apprehended Tyler Blaine Potter at Ashe County N.C. Jail on a capias/bench warrant from Carter County, transporting him to the Carter County Detention Center.
On March 13, Deputy Jeff Winters arrested John Curtis Presley for assault against a first responder and resisting arrest.
On March 12, Deputy Jeff Winters arrested Terry Wayne Henson at Southwest Virginia Regional Jail for violating probation, transporting him to the Carter County Detention Center.
On March 12, Sgt. Tyler Holsclaw arrested Nathanael Montgomery Whitaker on Broad Street for failure to appear, transporting him to the Carter County Detention Center.
On March 11, Deputy Cory Locklear transported Shawn Curtis Wilson from Tennessee Recovery Center to Carter County Detention Center for an active order of incarceration.
On March 11, Deputy Jared Shelton took Jefferey William Wilson into custody at the Carter County Sheriff’s Office for failure to appear, transporting him to the Carter County Detention Center.
On March 10, Deputy Cory Locklear arrested Ashley Marion Post for driving under the influence, driving with a revoked license, and no insurance after a crash on Highway 19E.
On March 10, Sgt. Christian Carrier arrested Steven Dana Carver for driving with a revoked license (DUI) on Hwy 91.
On March 10, Deputy Cory Locklear arrested Aaron Blevins for driving under the influence after a crash on Highway 19E.
On March 10, Deputy Heath Taylor arrested Galen White for domestic violence, resisting arrest, and vandalism.
On March 9, Deputy Hunter Skalecki arrested Rebecca Anna Sue Clawson for public intoxication.
On March 8, Deputy Cory Locklear arrested Brian Ward Pritchard for failure to appear on Highway 19E.
On March 8, Lt. Christopher Reichenbach arrested Rusty Allen Hyder at Sinking Creek Baptist Church for violation of community corrections.
