Carter County residents are invited to join Keep Carter County Beautiful and Elizabethton Parks & Recreation in a community effort to plant trees and contribute to the beauty of local parks.

Scheduled for Saturday, April 13, at 10 a.m., the tree planting event seeks volunteers to assist in planting 7-8 trees each at Kiwanis Park and Riverside Park. Participants are encouraged to bring shovels, rakes, gloves, and water, though gloves and water will be provided for those in need. Volunteers are advised to dress appropriately for outdoor activities.

The holes for planting will already be dug, and the trees will be ready for their new homes, making it an accessible and rewarding experience for volunteers of all ages.
