A group of 10 individuals have been granted City of Elizabethton “Peddler” Permits, effective today, April 22. These individuals are authorized to sell a new home internet service offered by Brightspeed and will carry their city permits along with photo identification provided by their company.
The issuance of these permits aligns with Elizabethton City Code, which strictly prohibits door-to-door sales to residents within city limits without the proper permit. Peddler Permits, required for such sales activities, are exclusively obtained through the Elizabethton Police Department.
It is emphasized that no other individuals currently hold active peddler permits for door-to-door sales within Elizabethton.
For more information on Elizabethton City Code regulations, residents are encouraged to refer to the official city codes available at MTAS Tennessee.
For any inquiries or to report unauthorized sales activities, residents are urged to contact the Elizabethton Police Department.
