The following arrests have been reported by the Carter County Sheriff’s Office: 

• On May 9, Deputy Jerry Dykes, assisted by Lt. Justin Burchfield, responded to Crook Street for a domestic assault call. Daniel Scott Dickerson was later located and arrested. He faces charges of aggravated assault.
• Also on May 9, Lt. Justin Burchfield responded to Dawn Drive for a disturbance involving James David Bowers, who had an active warrant for violation of probation. Bowers was arrested without incident.
• Evan Vaughn Trice turned himself in at the Carter County Detention Center on May 9 for charges of burglary and theft.
• On May 8, Sgt. Justin Johnson served an arrest warrant on Caley Rose Sommers for failure to appear.
• On May 8, Deputy Thomas Hill received a tip regarding Cambrean Nicole Presnell, who had active warrants for failure to appear and violation of probation. Presnell complied with instructions and was arrested without incident.
• Deputy Zachary Whaley took Christopher Shannon Watson into custody at the Carter County Detention Center on May 8 for a violation of probation warrant.
• Johnson City Medical Center contacted the Sheriff’s Office on May 8 regarding Milburn B. Hughes, who had an active warrant. Hughes was taken into custody without incident.
• Deputy Zachary Whaley also arrested Christopher Eric Shaffer on May 8 at the Carter County Detention Center for violation of probation.
• On May 7, Deputy J. Shelton arrested Edith Irene Carroll at Nave Street in Hampton for failure to appear.
• On May 6, Deputy Kevin Kemp took Paris B. Kane into custody at the Washington County Detention Center on a failure to appear charge.
• On May 6, Lt. Justin Burchfield responded to a violation of an order of protection involving Sarah Renee Rodifer, who was arrested.
• Gunner B. Shepard was arrested on May 6 by the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office and transferred to the Carter County Detention Center for failure to appear.
• Micah J. Hillman turned himself in at the Carter County Detention Center on May 6 for failure to appear.
• On May 5, Deputy Heath Taylor arrested Patrick James Campbell for domestic assault.
• On May 5, Sgt. Justin Johnson arrested Donald Lee Cardwell for violation of probation and two counts for evading arrest.
• On May 4, Deputy Cory Locklear arrested Carrie Ann Richardson for failure to appear.
• On May 5, Sgt. Justin Johnson arrested Alan Dean Back on a failure to appear warrant.
