The annual Covered Bridge Jams is gearing up for its highly anticipated Bluegrass event, the “Covered Bridge Bluegrass Jamboree,” set to captivate audiences in June with an impressive lineup featuring renowned headliners and local favorites.
Headlining the event are two top-tier groups in the bluegrass genre: Joe Mullins & The Radio Ramblers and Authentic Unlimited. Joe Mullins & The Radio Ramblers, named Entertainers of the Year by the International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) in 2019, bring their chart-topping hits and dynamic performances to the stage. With a string of successes including a Top 5 Billboard album and numerous accolades, the Radio Ramblers are celebrated as torchbearers in mainstream bluegrass and gospel music.
Authentic Unlimited, recipients of the coveted Vocal Group of the Year and New Artist of the Year awards at the 34th annual IBMA Bluegrass Music Awards, promise to captivate audiences with their exceptional vocal talent and musical prowess.
Local talent will also shine at the event, with Stemwinder, Hollow Ground, and Tim Decker & Tennessee River kicking off the festivities before the headliners take the stage.
“We are extremely excited about this year’s Bluegrass Jamboree and hope that everyone in the community and those in our surrounding areas will come out and enjoy some awesome music in a beautiful setting,” said Nanney, a representative of Elizabethton Parks and Recreation. “We are truly delighted to bring this special musical event that showcases internationally known artists, Authentic Unlimited and Joe Mullins & The Radio Ramblers. With these great groups and the matchless beauty of our historic Covered Bridge Park and downtown Elizabethton, this night will truly be one to remember.”
The event, free to the public, will kick off at noon, offering attendees a day filled with exceptional music and delicious fare from eight food trucks on hand. For more information, contact Elizabethton Parks and Recreation at 423-547-6441.
