The Vehicle for a Veteran BBQ Fundraiser will take place on Saturday, May 25, from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the American Legion Post 49 Watauga. The event’s purpose is to raise money to purchase a vehicle for Kelly Greene, a veteran who has assisted with many fundraisers in the past and now needs help himself.

The event, located at 111 South Watauga Ave., will also feature a motorcycle ride led by the “Dog Tag Brigade Veteran M.C.” Attendees are advised to follow the event signs.

In addition to the ride, there will be a silent auction and door prizes. The menu includes BBQ pork and chicken, slaw, chips, drinks, and dessert. The suggested donation is $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under.

For those unable to attend, donations for the silent auction or monetary contributions are encouraged.
