The Boys & Girls Club of Elizabethton/Carter County will host a Pitch, Hit and Run competition on Friday, June 14, at Northeast Community Credit Union Ballpark. The event, sponsored by Major League Baseball and Citizens Bank, begins at 4 p.m. and is free for area boys and girls ages 5–14.

Participants will receive a free T-shirt and will be awarded points based on accuracy in throwing, distance in hitting, and speed in running. The contestant with the highest point total in each respective division will be declared the winner. The winners will have a chance to advance to regional competition. Three individuals qualified for the regional event last year.
