The Watauga Junior Athletic League (WJAL) hosted a full slate of youth football action on Saturday, with 17 games taking place at five different locations. Teams competed at fields in Hampton, Unaka, Greeneville, Boone, and Happy Valley.
Among the featured games was a matchup between the Happy Valley Grasscutters Maroon and the Cyclones Grasscutters Orange, with Star correspondent Brandon Hyde on hand at Happy Valley to capture the action in photos.
