Phyllis Blanche Adkins

Phyllis Blanche Adkins, 60, Butler, passed away Monday, April 28, 2014, in Johnson City Medical Center following an extended illness. A native of Baltimore, Md., she was a daughter of the late Ray Morrell Sr and Florence Parrish Morrell. She had lived in Butler since 1991. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Adkins attended Little Milligan Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother: Ray Morrell Jr.
Survivors include her loving companion of 25 years, Dave Crue; three daughters: Phyllis Sue Smith and husband Rick, Baltimore, Md.; Bessie Christine Moran and husband Dan Gehring, Baltimore, Md.; and Dana Michelle Campion and husband Ray, Butler; her stepchildren: David Wooters and Ashley Williams; nine grandchildren; her companion at heart, David Adkins; loving friends: Chuck and Debbie; one brother: Clifton Morrell, Baltimore, Md.; four sisters: Darlene Silvestro and Donna Schwartz both of Huntingtown, Md.; June Bailey, Hampton; and Lennie Morrell, Fort Worth, Texas; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at noon Wednesday in Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Sam Icenhour officiating. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to noon Wednesday in the funeral home. The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to the Members of the Little Milligan Baptist Church for their prayers and support during her illness.
