Mr. Ed Cranor, 80, of Roan Highlands Nursing Center, Roan Mountain, passed away on Sunday, May 4, 2014, at Roan Highlands. He was the son of the late George M. and Ida M. Cranor and was born in Baltimore, Md. He was a retired accountant, had served in the United States Navy Reserve, and was of the United Methodist faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Bobbie Brown Cranor.
Mr. Cranor is survived by a son, Keith Cranor of Roan Mountain; daughter, Kim Barnes, Johnson City; and granddaughter, Amber Barnes also of Johnson City.
The family will hold a private inurnment service at a later date. They would like to express a special thank you to the nursing staff at Roan Highlands Nursing Center for all the love and care extended to Mr. Cranor and his family during his time there.
